In 2011, a bulldozer plowed into a mammoth fossil, and soon many of the world’s top paleontologists were neck deep in one of the most important Ice Age discoveries of all time. Snowmass Tourism asked us to bring that story to life with a new logo, design system, website, artist collaborations, and educational opportunities all over the mountain.

Of course, assets were limited. And it’s pretty hard to get a well-lit photo of a Columbian Mammoth. So we designed a system that emphasized earthen patterns and sunset hues. And wrote copy that was fun for kids (and their parents) to read on-mountain and online. As a side note, I have an honorary degree in Late Pleistocene Flora & Fauna now, which is not something I expected when I got into advertising.
